NATURAL RESOURCES SURVEY

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SURVEY

    Southwest Mississippi Resource Conservation and Development, Inc. (SW MS RC&D) is one of seven groups forming the Mississippi Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils (MARCDC). RC&D is a "Project to Develop our Natural and Human Resources for Community Improvements".

    SW MS RC&D provides for the interests of Adams, Amite, Copiah, Franklin, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Marion, Lawrence, Lincoln, Pike, Walthall, and Wilkinson Counties.

    Projects and activities are selected to meet goals and objectives identified by a Council made up of two representatives from each of the 12 counties. Funds and technical assistance are solicited from local, state and federal agencies as well as organizations, foundations and corporations.

    RC&D is a program of local people determining their own needs, then creating their own solutions to improve their quality of life and standard of living. Review the panel to left for resource areas being addressed in southwest Mississippi.

    RC&D provides assistance to local groups, organizations and sponsors, such as:

    RC&D's Grants Resource Center provides the ability for sponsors, local nonprofit and community organizations, educational institutions, governments, etc. to search thousands of computerized files and printed directories for federal, corporate and foundation funding. A library of handbooks and manuals for nonprofits is also available.CHECK IT OUT!
