The Recreation and Tourism Resource Board seeks to identify and promote points of interest, primarily natural resource related, to enhance opportunities for recreation and tourism. Past activities include publication of a brochure entitled "Explore the Old Natchez Territory". Currently the Board is working with the Natural Resources Conservation Service to channel $10 million in federal funds for the construction of a 1000-acre recreational lake in the Homochitto National Forest, Franklin County.
