RC&D is providing the following information in an effort to assist landowners in salvaging timber felled by Hurricane Katrina. Landowners that need the services of a small portable sawmill to convert logs to lumber for their own use or to convert logs to square cants for stacking and storage until the market opens up can access the below database of small, portable sawmill operators from outside the storm-damaged area that have expressed an interest in moving into the area to do contract or volunteer sawing.

DISCLAIMER: This is simply a tool to connect affected landowners and sawmill operators offering salvage services. Southwest Mississippi RC&D, Inc. does not conduct background checks or verify references for those listed. It is left up to the landowner to verify references, certifications, and proof of insurance. Southwest Mississippi RC&D receives no compensation for providing this service and assumes no liability from any business transactions that occur.
