PURPOSE OF THE GRANTS RESOURCE CENTER

The Center's purpose is to provide both computerized and printed resources (books) to allow even the most novice grants searcher to search thousands of sources of federal, corporate and foundation grants to finance their organization's project or program. Find out what is available, what the potential donor's preferences are, deadlines, application guidelines, etc. Many of the Center's resources will help organizations prepare themselves to be more competitive and successful through strategic planning and better organizational management. Grantwriting aids are also available.

WHAT IS AVAILABLE AT THE GRANTS RESOURCE CENTER?

The heart of the Center is a computer equipped with The Foundation Center's Database on CD-ROM. This database includes all known U.S. grantmakers – over 65,000 foundations and corporations. Also a Federal Money Retriever CD-ROM provides the potential to search all federal funding sources.

Internet access is also available with links provided to dozens of Websites providing user-friendly search tools to hundreds of federal departments and agencies offering grants, loans, technical information, equipment, etc. A step-by-step manual makes the process less intimidating.
